Coaches
Berkeley Netball Club – Coaches
Our club relies on volunteers who dedicate their time to help our players develop their skills and abilities to become the best netballers they can be. As a club we are always looking for coaches, new or with years of experience, to take one of our teams, build each player’s confidence and most importantly have fun. Our Coaches Convenor is available to support coaches with skills and game play to help our coaches develop their skills and abilities.
If you would like to become a coach please fill out the Coaches Nomination Form in the link below.

Score Sheets
On Saturday Competition games it is the responsibility of the team listed first on the draw to collect the score sheet from the duty window, located on the right hand side of the club house canteen.
Please make sure the score sheet is filled out correctly with correct names, positions, borrowed players and that scores are recorded on the correct sides of the score sheet. Score sheets must be signed by a scorer and captain from each team and the presiding umpires at the conclusion of the match. Failure to correctly fill in a score sheet can result in the wrong team being awarded competition points.
The winning team is responsible for returning the completed score sheet to the duty room.
Borrowing Players
Teams are able to borrow players for Saturday Competition games if required. Each age group has specific rules in regards to the borrowing of players which can be read in more detail using the link below to Section C of IDNA Rules of Competition. However, the general rules of borrowing a player are as follows:
- The borrowing of a player registered with the same club from a lower grade or division to play in a higher grade or division shall be permitted.
- The borrowing of a player from another club is not permitted, except for NetSetGo, 8years and 9years only.
- Teams shall record all relevant details of borrowed players on the score sheet
- A team member may take the court as a substitute for a borrowed player, at the appropriate time. The borrowed player may then be used as a further substitute for that same team if there is an injury/illness occurring later in that game.
- A team may borrow a maximum of TWO(2) players on any competition day.
- A player may be borrowed THREE(3) times without any impact on the team they are registered with.
Forfeits
If a team needs to forfeit a Saturday competition game they are required to pass on their intention to forfeit to our club secretary via the Berkeley Netball Club email berkeleynetball@gmail.com, by 3pm on Friday before the day of play. Our club secretary will notify IDNA of the teams intent to forfeit and this will be considered a notified forfeit.
Failure to notify the club and IDNA of a forfeit it will be considered an un-notified forfeit and the team will incur a fine issued by IDNA. Any team with three or more forfeits in a season, notified or un-notified, will be removed from the competition.
For a game to commence at least five players must be present for the game to begin. If the team is unable to field five players the team will be considered to have forfeited the game. If a team is unable to complete a game once it has commenced due to insufficient players the team is considered to have lost the game.
